Job Description
Our Agile software development team is looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the next level and will work with our team of sage code smiths to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications.
Android Engineer | Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with outside data sources and API’s
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies
- Attend and participate in daily scrum and product / feature planning meetings to help estimate time frames, risk, and scope of work in accordance with our agile process
Android Engineer | Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science preferred) or 4+ years Equivalent Work Experience
- 1+ years of Android development
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Solid understanding of software design principles and patterns
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work as a member of an Agile development team
- Real-world experience working with Agile software development methods, patterns, and practices
- Comfortable working in a fun, collaborative, open-space development environment
