Job Description
Agilex is at the forefront in supporting a federal agency’s transformation to large-scale mobile adoption across the enterprise. Our client that is looking to support the development and deployment of infrastructure, processes and tools to enable mobile app developers’ rapid, compliant and secure app development capabilities. This position in on-site in Washington, D.C.
The Mobile App Developer will be responsible for providing insight into the tools and processes used for building mobile applications. Responsibilities will include the development of mobile Android applications to be used as demonstrative tools in the development of enterprise solutions building and deploying mobile apps. In addition, compile, deliver, and evangelize end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide the evolution of infrastructure, products, and services by applying depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines.
Android Developer | Requirements:
- At least 8+ years of broad range of web based software development experience
- At least 2+ years of mobile application (native or mobile web app) experience
- Experience with Android (required), iOS, or Windows mobile app development
- Experience in working with small to medium development teams
- BS in Computer Science, related discipline or significant mobile/web related technology experience
- Deftness at Object oriented design and system architecture for mobile devices and wireless systems
- Excellent judgment, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong sense of ownership and drive
- Solid coding practices using Agile development methods, including good design documentation, automation tool use, unit testing, and peer code review
Android Developer | Preferred:
- At least 1 app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Experience using one or more programming languages such as Java, HTML5, Java Script and objective C
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery mobile
- Experience using databases such as Oracle, SQLServer, SQLlite, etc.
- Experience with a wide variety of testing tools and techniques, e.g., JUnit, Cucumber
- Working knowledge of mobile security considerations
- Experience in UX design for mobile devices
- Thorough understanding of SDLC and Scrum/Agile
- Experience with Continuous Integration
- Experience with automated testing
- Experience with Mobile Device Management
- Experience with Mobile App Management
- Experience with UI/UX designing
- Experience with Scrum, Extreme Programming, TDD, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing is a plus
Clearance:
- United States Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance is required
- Top Secret preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a complimentary discipline required, Masters Degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred
