We are seeking a smart, motivated and outgoing iOS engineer with a grasp of the technologies in use on mobile devices today. A working affiliation with devices, operating systems, development frameworks, and browsers is a huge plus.
Our team has defined an agile process that works for us. We have short, daily stand-ups each morning, end of sprint demos every other week to show off our progress, retrospectives to continuously improve our process and highly collaborative, weekly sessions to envision and define the next generation of mobile travel products. We define this process and we are constantly evaluating it to make the team productive and fun. Above all, we are a team that cares deeply about the final product.
iOS Engineer | Responsibilities:
- Assist in architecting and implementing our mobile API
- Comfortable working in Agile development process
- Implementation in Java and Ruby (backend) is a plus
- Develop Objective C code for iOS
- Debug, build test performance and quality control
iOS Engineer | Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of development experience or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of development experience
- 2 years development experience with operational databases, JDBC, Oracle, PL/SQL
- Proficient with database scripting; including PL/SQL
- Experience with data mining and cleansing techniques
- 2+ years development experience with enterprise level applications handling high performance, high volume, and high availability web applications such as retail websites, customer relations applications, or financial applications
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, excellent analytical skills, flexibility, ability to plan and organize, responsiveness, creativity
- Ability to handle aggressive timelines and a fast paced environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- 5 years experience in a rapid development environment with multiple dependencies
- Independence in completing tasks and multi-tasking capabilities
- Must work well in a collaborative, team environment and independently
- Familiarity and comfort with Open Source code and applications
- Experience in the travel & leisure industry is a plus
