Job Description
As an Android developer, you will join a small, tight-knit group bringing our award-winning web-based cloud content management platform to mobile devices. Passion, excitement, and the drive to create amazing products are all musts; you want nothing more than to take advantage of cutting edge technology to delight customers. In addition, you will be working with the biggest device manufacturers and major carriers to define how phones and tablets interact with the cloud. We regularly meet with companies like Samsung to talk about and work on the future of content on mobile devices.
As Android adoption has now eclipsed iOS it has become critically important to Box and it will only become more of a focus. We’re looking for passionate engineers to drive new feature development on the Android platform. Our ideal candidate will have Java experience and the ability to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly. You will have product sensibilities and the ability to communicate with many people across departments.

Android Engineer | Requirements:
- 4-year degree from a top-notch Comptuer Science or comparable program
- Exceptional Java development skills
- 1+ years experience building Android native applications
- Strong knowledge of related CS theory: MVC, OOP, threading
- Experienced with learning new frameworks on a variety of platforms
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing highly rated and popular applications for Android
- Web application work experience
