Job Description

At thredUP, we’re revolutionizing the clothing industry and we’re looking for an iOS engineer to increase the bandwidth of our mobile engineering team. This is a frontend role, which means you’ll be expected to work on our current iOS app and dive into how our rails app works, when appropriate.

iOS Engineer | Responsibilities:

  • Building an elegant shopping experience.
  • Keeping an eye on our competitors, and brainstorming ways to outperform them.
  • Writing well organized, and maintainable code.
  • Keeping up with Apple’s new technology as it comes available.
  • Following projects beyond release to ensure the app performs quickly and robustly.
  • Being open to pairing, knowledge transfer, and teaching other engineers.
  • Prioritizing user-facing bugs, and finding clever ways to mitigate them.
  • Including everyone in the pursuit of improving our processes and culture.

iOS Engineer | Requirements:

  • Computer Science degree or impressive portfolio.
  • 1+ years of iOS development.
  • Experience with modern iOS tools (AFNetworking, CocoaPods, ObjectiveSugar, etc).
  • Believer in testing.
  • Familiar with Git.
