Job Description
iOS Developer | Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, code, install, debug and test native mobile apps. Applicant will work as part of a development team with solid deadlines under a project manager.
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment.
- Provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing development and service issues.
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas, following the software development lifecycle.
iOS Developer | Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in computer science or related area, or its equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant software development experience, with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities.
- Experience working with web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience building iOS apps (phone or iPad).
- Experience in the Emergency Services field and/or prior military a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Exposure to Agile software development methodology a plus.
- Knowledge of iOS memory management with or without ARC and Objective C.
- Working knowledge of RESTful Web Services, XML, and JSON.
- General programming skills consistent with technical requirements of the role.
- Functional proficiency with software design, debugging, documentation and testing.
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Functional communication skills (verbal, written, wiki, and white-boarding).
- Self – starting individual that finishes before deadlines.
