Job Description

iOS Developer | Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, code, install, debug and test native mobile apps. Applicant will work as part of a development team with solid deadlines under a project manager.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas, following the software development lifecycle.

iOS Developer | Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or related area, or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant software development experience, with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities.
  • Experience working with web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building iOS apps (phone or iPad).
  • Experience in the Emergency Services field and/or prior military a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Exposure to Agile software development methodology a plus.
  • Knowledge of iOS memory management with or without ARC and Objective C.
  • Working knowledge of RESTful Web Services, XML, and JSON.
  • General programming skills consistent with technical requirements of the role.
  • Functional proficiency with software design, debugging, documentation and testing.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Functional communication skills (verbal, written, wiki, and white-boarding).
  • Self – starting individual that finishes before deadlines.
