Job Description
Red Bull Sound Select is an ambitious international music program developed in collaboration between Red Bull Media House and Red Bull Culture Marketing. The program leverages hundreds of live events, an unparalleled curator network, cutting edge technology, and owned / partner media properties to provide emerging artists with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed in the digital age of music. The product suite that has been created currently comprises a consumer facing music discovery site, an events platform, artist career management tools, curator tools, program management tools, an iOS app and profiles on several third party platforms.
The iOS Software Developer for Red Bull Sound Select will own the development and maintenance of Red Bull Sound Select’s iOS apps. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about developing fun, consumer facing mobile apps powered by emerging music. The role requires a strong background in iOS development with experience building and releasing consumer facing mobile apps.
iOS Software Developer |Responsibilities:
# Product development
- Drive the development of new features and apps to help artists develop their careers, and fans discover and engage with new music.
- Play a key role in shaping the strategy, requirements, and design of our iOS apps.
- Use analytics and user testing to inform decisions about new features and UX.
- Help integrate Red Bull Sound Select with other Red Bull owned iOS projects, like Red Bull TV.
# Software Engineering
- Experience working with OAuth2.0 and RESTful APIs to integrate with other services
- Working knowledge of AV Foundation framework to manipulate video, audio, photos and text.
- Work with the Red Bull Sound Select development team to create and evolve the API that will power our iOS apps.
- Stay on the cutting edge of iOS updates and best practices.
- Establish a QA process to ensure our users have a premium experience.
iOS Software Developer | Requirements:
- Excellent objective-C
- Strong proven track record of building and deploying consumer facing iOS apps
- Comfortable working in a fast paced agile environment
- Heroku / Node.js / PostgreSQL awareness
- 5+ years of experience developing software
