Job Description

Android Developer | Requirements:
- Proficient in Java
- Proficient with threads and thread synchronization
- Proficient with Android style guidelines
- Knowledge of Android support tools and compiler workflow
- Knowledge of Dalvik VM, garbage collection, and native (non-gc) heap
- Thorough understanding of logic and the theoretical basis of software development
- Understands application and activity lifecycle
- Understands the intent system
- Understands content providers and has good knowledge of SQLite
- Understands broadcast receivers and services
- Understands Android XML user interface layouts and layout inflation
- Understands resource conservation and how to avoid wake locks or background processing
- Understands object-oriented design
- Utilizes the task stack consistently with Android standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent degree; or at least 1 year experience working with Android and 2 years development experience – including mobile or desktop applications and web services
Android Developer | Preferred:
- Android Native development kit experience
- RenderScript experience
- Has app(s) on the market which provide a UX consistent with Android style guidelines
- Is also proficient with iOS development
