iOS Developer | Responsibilities:

Asynchrony, a division of Schafer Corporation, has opportunities for developers interested in building exceptional iOS applications.  Developers at Asynchrony are responsible for the development of applications to solve business, engineering, and scientific problems. Asynchrony is a highly collaborative environment where developers work with other team members and clients to solve problems.

iOS Developer | Requirements:

  • The following knowledge skills and attributes are required:
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience
  • Previous iPhone OS programming experience
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience using Objective-C, Foundation, and Cocoa Touch
  • User-interface programming experience
  • Understanding of Xcode build environment (targets, schemes, build configurations, etc.)
  • Experience building client/server applications
  • Experience under formal software development processes
  • Ability to work in an agile environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients
  • Highly motivated and dependable with exceptional communication
  • Critical thinker with the ability to demystify complex technical requirements
  • Experience with several Apple frameworks (Core Location, Core Graphics, MapKit, etc.)
  • Eligible to receive a Security Clearance (strongly desired)

iOS Developer | Preferred:

  • Experience writing self-documenting code
  • Experience with Git or other version control technologies
  • Experience with automating build processes (continuous integration)
  • Experience with unit testing
  • Experience with source code analysis tools
  • Experience with other programming/scripting languages
  • Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows
  • Knowledge of third-party iOS frameworks
  • Experience with Core Data (validations, migrations, relationships)
  • Familiarity with web technologies and JSON and XML
  • Released iPhone/iPad applications a plus
  • Understanding of the iOS Provisioning Portal processes (provisioning profiles, App IDs, device provisioning)
  • Experience with adding accessibility to end user applications
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture technologies and/or implementations
  • Excellent personal presence with proven ability to work with all levels of management internally and externally
  • A self-starter that relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish individual and team goals
