Job Description
We are looking for an iOS developer to build a Social app that has focus on images.
As the iOS developer you will work directly with the Product Team on aggressive deadlines and will be building an iPhone app from scratch.
This is a contract position for an individual code ninja and likely to evolve into a long term engagement.
iOS Developer | Requirements:
- Background in developing high performance applications that must function in “mission critical” environments.
- Able to demonstrate experience building iOS apps, and comfort with the full range of the development lifecycle (Have a good set of IOS apps you’ve created on the app store)
- Strong in Objective-C, Object-Oriented principles and the latest iOS technologies/libraries.
- Possess thorough understanding of the iOS application architecture
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- BS in Computer Science or related field is great (but experience in lieu of degree is considered)
- Have a working knowledge for Universal Apps
- Expert in object-oriented design, data structures, UI constructs
- Memory management, concurrency, RESTful APIs, dynamic and static libraries
- Helpful to have working knowledge of at least one backend framework, such as Grails, Rails, node.js, Python, or Spring
- Create pixel-perfect implementations of all designs
- Knowledge and experience working with REST APis including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Bonus: Have experience with Foundation, Bootstrap or other web frameworks, Java/Android, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3
iOS Developer | Responsibilities:
- Develop, iterate and manage our mobile applications on iOS
- Help us setup server-side functions as well as scalable hosting solutions.
- Investigate bugs and diagnose issues
- Implement analytics and testing solutions.
- Document the work you do and help us plan for the future
iOS Developer | Preferred:
- Love of all things Apple, iPhone, iPad, AppleTV and Airplay – and mobile apps in general
- Great problem solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills – you must be able to collaborate with designers, product management and directly with senior management
