Job Description

Alta Bicycle Share is seeking a Temporary Web/Mobile App Developer to assist with the development and launch of several new bike sharing system websites and mobile applications. This is a temporary position which will last approximately three months. The hours are flexible, depending on projects, and will average 25-30 hours per week. This position will report to the Director of IT.

Mobile App Developer | Responsibilities:

• Lead and/or assist with several new web development projects under the direction of a Senior Web Developer
• Work as part of a team to build several fully-functioning websites from design prototypes
• Clone and customize an existing mobile app

Mobile App Developer | Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience hand coding HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript, and PHP into platform and browser agnostic sites.
• Demonstrable experience building and/or maintaining native mobile applications (iOS/Android)
• Experience with responsive design and mobile web development techniques
• Experience using a version control system (we use Git with Beanstalk)
• Experience with the LAMP stack for hosting websites with a focus on stability and scalability
• Comfortable in a high-pressure, high-visibility, start-up like environment

Mobile App Developer | Preferred:

• Experience with the MVC concept. We use Codeigniter and FuelCMS
• Familiarity with cURL, SOAP and RESTful web service architecture
• Familiarity with the Foundation platform
• Experience with Google Maps API
• Experience with relational databases. We use MySQL and Navicat
