Job Description

Android Engineer | Responsibilities:

• Work closely with product managers and designers to create engaging iOS apps for people with diabetes
• Develop Android apps using Java
• Deep understanding of working with Bluetooth networking stack
• Write unit tests for all code commits
• Update APIs as needed
• Provide documentation for all new features
• Transport data in Json format using cloud-based apps and databases
• Work with web engineers to update data models
• Perform in an Agile and TDD environment
• Utilize app performance using background caching and data compression
• Bonus for any experience working with audio-to-data processing
• Bonus for experience writing firmware interfaces

Android Engineer | Requirements:

• CS degree or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in Android product development
• Experience working in agile product development
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to deliver high quality code consistently and within schedule
• You have developer street cred: a github profile, answers on StackOverflow or Quora, contributions to open-source projects
• You understand and follow programming best practices like unit testing and continuous deployment
