Job Description

Android Developer

Is this you?

  • You understand the value of mobile technology in a changing world
  • You go above and beyond – coding isn’t just your day job, but what you love
  • You give back to the larger development community, whether it’s on Stackoverflow, Github, through Hackathons or open source projects, or awesome mobile applications
  • You walk the line between confidence and humility with a positive attitude
  • Your life is balanced between work, surfing, climbing, teaching, family, and all the other things you love to do
  • You strive for excellence because you do it well the first time, keep clean code, and fix systemic problems while understanding the legacy
  • You want to collaborate on your Scrum team and be friends outside of the office
  • You have a hunger for learning so you can solve problems

This is us:

  • Web application development in: C#, ASP/ASP.NET, .NET Web Services, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS3
  • Mobile application development for iOS and Android
  • Open floor space, dedicated Scrum team rooms, and small conference rooms for team and individual use
  • Two week Scrum sprints, weekly releases, multi-stage continuous integration
  • Testers, UX Designers, Technical Leads, Product Managers, and Software Engineers of all sorts sit together for fast collaboration
  • Internal hackathons, bug hunts, mobile development classes, technical talks, UX Design studios, and company-wide demonstration days are the norm
  • In-person product testing with employees and clients on all platforms and devices
  • Latest tools and technology at your fingertips, including TFS 2012 and JetBrains
  • Inherent trust and open communication with tech and management leaders to support different needs – no micromanagement needed when we’re all treated as adults
  • Close relationship with Cal Poly – we sit on the Industrial Advisory Board, hire students and graduates
  • Support for continuing education through courses, certifications, and conferences like Google I/O, DefCon, WWDC, and Visual Studio Live
  • Promote-from-within culture, with technical and management track options
