Job Description

ModCloth is looking for a highly motivated iOS engineer to join our San Francisco based Native Apps team. You will join a small cross functional team and work closely with UX Designers, Product Management, and other native app developers. We are ‘agile about our agile process’, employing short iterations, daily standups, pair programming, code reviews, continuous integration, and other best practices. We take pride in building a highly rated app that is being used by hundreds of thousands of users.

You will be a key part of the entire product lifecycle, from ideas to prototypes to production. So, come join our fun-loving team, and help us tackle the complex and challenging development tasks that we’re overcoming on our mission to shake up the world of social commerce!

iOS Engineer | Responsibilities:

  • Define, develop, and deliver features from product roadmap
  • Champion best practices for iOS development and testing
  • Raise the team’s skill level through pairing, design/code reviews, and mentoring
  • Research and prototype solutions to difficult problems, remove team roadblocks
  • Build fun and interesting experiences for our users

iOS Engineer | Requirements:

  • 2 years of professional iOS development experience
  • Examples of apps in the App Store
  • Great communication and problem solving skills
  • Experience using Git for version control
  • Experience working closely with a UX designer to build beautiful and intuitive user experiences

iOS Engineer | Preferred:

  • Experience defining web based APIs
  • Ruby on Rails
  • E-commerce
  • Participation in open-source projects
