This is an iPhone/iPad developer for our mobile development team, part of the Advanced Platform Group.  This is one of the most exciting and cutting edge development groups at E*TRADE.  They are responsible for development of Mobile and Tablet application development, as well as new platforms such as HTML5.  This is a highly visible and critical development position utilizing new technologies. Development in this group is on a fast track and brings tremendous growth potential.

iOS Developer | Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product Management, Project Management, QA & Operations to guide and work through the design, development, testing & deployment of applications.
  • Produce detailed design specifications from project requirements that incorporates robustness/high availability.
  • Work with lead software engineers and technical project managers develop comprehensive work breakdowns and project development schedules.
  • Provide hands-on development assistance and troubleshoot tech issues.
  • Track and report development progress and problems.

iOS Developer | Requirements:

  • Must have detailed knowledge of iOS SDK and XCode development environment
  • Strong Object-Oriented Development Skills
  • Must have thorough understanding of Objective C memory management
  • Strong knowledge of threading
  • Computer Science degree preferred
  • Must be able to write clean and efficient code
  • Working knowledge of source code control systems and configuration management practices is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
