Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced, professional, and highly motivated Senior Android Engineer to help build cutting-edge Android apps for Aloompa’s FestApp. We’re building the tools that allow everyone to discover events and experience the excitement of bringing them to life. Android Developer | Responsibilities:
- Architect, build, and test Android apps supporting Aloompa’s event clients
- Improve existing mobile applications and suggest best practices
- Act as expert on the latest Android SDK developments and roadmap
- Update and improve codebase to fix bugs, improve UI, and address customer feedback
- Think strategically in all areas of platform, software infrastructure, and mobile application development
Android Developer | Requirements:
- Solid experience with client-side Java and the Android SDK
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Experience building applications that talk to RESTful web services
- Database experience using Sqlite or equivalent
- Strong object-oriented programming and design skills
- Experience writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code
- Understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles
- Attention to quality through unit tests, automation scripts, and code reviews
- Strong computer science fundamentals gained through Bachelor’s degree in CS, Math, Engineering or equivalent
