Smashing Ideas is looking for an Android Developer on a contract basis who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team to publish and update amazing native Android applications for our clients Smashing Ideas is a highly collaborative environment where every member of the team is expected to contribute and grow; therefore communication skills and a forward-thinking attitude are a must. Having fun is not a requirement, but it’s highly encouraged!
Android Developer | Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with outside data sources and API’s
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Android Developer | Requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of native Android development
- Have published at least one original Android app
- Experience with Android SDK
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
